John 1:1
This is an Introduction to The Head of The Family, His Power and the Reason For Well Deserved and Mandatory Reverence.
In the BEGINNING was The Word . What was (is) the WORD? In Greek it is “Logos” which translates “to say or to speak”. The interesting fact is, we do not know (nor will we ever know) WHEN the “beginning” was. Therefore …”and the “Word” was WITH God” tells me THIS… JESUS was WITH GOD FROM THE BEGINNING!!! WOW, so OK, don’t write me off as crazy, just hang on and i will explain soon. So Let us continue …”and the Word (re. Revelation 19:13) This is one way we know Jesus is the one referred to in John 1:1) WAS GOD and (John 1:2 ) says The SAME (let us say that again) The “SAME” Was In The Beginning WITH God. So WHO is the “same”? Who was with Him in the “Beginning”? JESUS.
To further understand, let us explore John 1:3 through 1:5.
The answer lies here… who in Scripture is called The”Light”? (re. John 8:12) Who in Scripture was “Life”? (re. John 14:6) Explore John 14:6. . HOW do we know JESUS is speaking? Because He explains SO VERY CLEARLY to his disciples and Apostles in John 14:1 through John 14:11
OK, OK, we need to stop here for a moment. I need to REWIND to the words “with God from the beginning”, Obviously Jesus had NOT been born of woman and become “flesh” at that particular time . This simply speaks of the PLAN of God, He had the “Vision and Plan” BEFORE the BEGINNING!!! Allow me to use the example with you. When you are 6 years old. you draw a picture of a house, a family and a child in that picture. All your 30 years of growing in to manhood you had a supernatural “Knowing” this child would be born; carry your name, your traits and you trained him to represent you. The difference is God, in all of his power KNEW His plan because He was able to create that child AND the vessel (natural woman) who would carry Him while being protected and He knew EXACTLY how His Birth would affect the world. OK You get the point, right?
